Message from the President

My fellow Tensasans,
I am now your new elected President for 2024. I am overjoyed to become the Board of Directors President. I have a long and faithful history with this organization. I have worked on the Board under (6) six Presidents. I am from Tensas Parish and went to school in St. Joseph and graduated from Tensas Rosenwald High School class of 1969. I served four years in the U. S. Air Force and I am a honorable discharged Veteran. I attended the University of Houston and Texas Southern University. I am retired after 35 years with the federal government. I have worked in many areas of this organization from Vice President, Ways and Means Chair and the Credential Committee. I also hosted the 2008 Tensas Reunion in Arlington, Texas.
I realize that the organization faces many challenges. But we are determined to carry on the work that is before us. Know that no one individual can complete all the work that has to be done. I will continue to work with the Board of Directors and other members of the organization to accomplish our goals. This organization is full of great talented individuals and outstanding members who can carry on this great work.
In closing, we are gearing up for all our future reunions and especially for our 50th. l Let us all spread the word that Tensas Reunion, Inc. is a great organization and that it will take all of us to carry on its legacy for future generations. We are about educating our youth and helping them to achieve their goals. Our support for the scholarship fund will make this possible. So, every opportunity you have, donate financially to the scholarship fund.
